Crying Over Spilled Milk

OK! So I am totally addicted to blogging now. Thanks Jenn! ;) I seriously thought of blogging this story the moment after it happened.

Let me set up the scene here..I will also give some background information

Lately I haven't had much alone time. Most people hate being alone and I honestly miss Patrick every second he is gone but I have to deal with the fact that he works really late. During this time is "my time". I can be a girl and watch chick flicks and make cookies and be lazy and nobody can tell me otherwise. Having another person living with you can hinder these things. I love having Patrick's sister living with us but today I have been hanging out in the comfort of my own room. I was really excited tonight after Patrick left so I could steal his laptop and watch a movie in my bed with milk and cookies! Yay. It was the best idea ever. I couldn't wait! I baked the cookies and decided on watching Cinderella. Once the cookies were done I crawled into bed and decided I should take a nice hot shower so I could be nice and relaxed for my movie. After my shower I poured a nice cold glass of milk and crawled into bed once again. Then I remembered that I needed to put the sheets on the bed. So, once again I crawled out of bed (such a pain) and I proceeded to put the sheet on the bed (which can be frustrating when doing it by yourself) Finally! The sheets were on and I was nice and clean and so ready to start my movie in bed. I put the DVD in the laptop and then BANG! I totally hit the glass of milk with my elbow... Milk went everywhere! All down the side of my bed covering my newly washed sheets, in between the wall and bed, underneath my table and soaking Patrick's library book. Time for crying.

Well here I am now. I am blogging about it so I must be doing ok. I know where they get the saying "crying over spilled milk". I hope nobody has to experience it.

Mardi's New Bed

Black Friday is a day I usually try to hide from. I am a sucker for good deals and I will buy anything just because it's half price. This year I did quite well. I managed to walk through the entire mall and only come out with one item! It was under $20 too! I had to stop over at Petsmart to grab some dog food and they were selling these beds that were originally $50 and they were on sale for $20! I had been needing to buy a bed for Mardi since we moved into our new apartment. We have hard-wood floors and Mardi won't sleep on them because she gets uncomfortable. Sparky actually prefers to sleep on the harder surfaced floors because he can stay cooler. I always wanted him to sleep with me on the bed but he'd rather sleep in the bathroom next to the toilet.
So I ended up buying this big fluffy bed for Mardi and when I came home I put it in our bedroom next to the bed. About a half out later I went into the bedroom and this is what I saw..

Sparky decided that this was his bed which is very unusual for him! I have purchased beds for him in the past and he would never sleep on them. Here are some more pictures of him and how cute he is when he sleeps..

Sparky's Puppies

For the past few weeks we have had two of Sparky's Puppies stay with us until they went to their new homes. Finally the last of them went to his new family on Sunday. It's nice to have the house quiet again. I took quite a few pictures of their stay and I would like to share a few!

Marriage!

It has been a long time since my last post. Over a month! I'm not into the whole blog thing yet and I'll have to get used to posting more often to keep everyone (Jenn) happy :) Here you go!

So yes, it happened. I am officially married! WOoo! It seemed like such a long engagement and now I feel like we have been married for a long time...only three weeks! Patrick and I had a wonderful wedding that couldn't have run more smoothly. Everything was perfect and we had zero problems! It was the perfect wedding. The weather was amazing and the flowers were all blooming. We had a lovely reception and a big turnout. I am very grateful to all those who came! If any of you missed the big cake cutting event then you'll have to check back for a video that Jennifer generously mad for us. You can view the video from the temple on her blog or check it out on Facebook. She did an amazing job!! I have most of my photos posted on Facebook and I will have a few of my favorites posted on here as well.

The day after the wedding Patrick and I packed our bags and left for our Honeymoon! We stayed in St. Geroge for two days before boarding our cruise ship in LA on my birthday! I will have the story and photos posted soon! :)

That's Right. A Blog.

I honestly didn't want to start a blog because I am no good at writing about my life. I was never very good at keeping journals and I always wanted to be that type of person who couldn't wait to get home and write about what had happened that day. It's weird to think of posting "journal entries" on the web. I am really curious as to who is really going to read this. I guess it is an excuse to avoid talking to those people that really want to know every detail in your life. "Just go read my blog" - I wonder if people actually say that instead of racking up the minutes on their cell phones. I do like the idea of posting pictures. I think that is what attracted me the most about starting this whole thing. I guess it is more the "family version" of Facebook. Anyway, this is my solemn attempt at a first post. Hopefully there will be more in the near future. I certainly will be updating photos!
